Before you close on your new home, you’ll meet with a member of our team for a New Home Orientation walk-through. This meeting is designed to show you the proper use and maintenance of your new home’s interior and exterior components. If any items don’t meet performance standards, they’ll be noted.
You’ll also receive a 10-year structural warranty from the RWC Warranty Corporation for long-term peace of mind. Each home includes a Platinum Advantage extended warranty covering most major appliances and mechanical systems for 5 years. Best of all, you get to choose the repair person of your choice!
To help you care for and maintain your new home, we provide you with a New Home Care & Warranty Guide. And for added convenience, our Warranty team will reach out to you for a quality assurance check 30 days after closing. This is your chance to ask questions and address any concerns you may have after living in your new home.
Itemized Warranty List
The final quality assurance check occurs eleven months after the completion of your new home. It is important that you do a walk-through of your home and itemize any warranty items to be addressed before the expiration of year one of your home warranty. We recommend that you utilize the itemized warranty list provided at closing to keep track of items to be repaired as the year progresses and not wait until year-end to gather the information.
Warranty Service Request
When submitting a warranty service request, please refer to your Warranty Guide before making a warranty request to determine if the request is covered by warranty and falls within the standards contained in the Warranty Guide. Kitchen appliance requests should be directed to the manufacturer. See your appliance manual for directions. Warranty service repairs will be performed during the working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and you will need to be present to provide access.
To submit a warranty request, fill out the contact information form and provide a brief description of your issue. Attach any photos as it relates and click on send. You will receive an auto-response that it was sent, and a member of our staff will respond to your request as soon as possible. Please note that warranty requests cannot be submitted through your BuilderTrend app.
