From impressive art to delicious dining, there’s no shortage of things to do in Minneapolis this fall. Whether you’ve just moved into one of our MN new homes or are interested in one of our many great floor plans, take some time between house hunting and get out and enjoy the season.

Are you in the mood for some theater? Hennepin Theater Trust’s 2023-2024 Broadway Season is debuting this month. The revival of Company (November 14-19) will both be performed at The Orpheum Theater.

If you prefer movie theaters – and popcorn – there are some film festivals taking place this fall. The Twin Cities Film Festival runs October 19-28; Twin Cities Black Film Festival takes place October 19-22, and The Sound Unseen Film + Music Festival  can be enjoyed November 8-12.

Now is a great time to explore the newly opened Indigenous Food Lab at the Midtown Global Market. This is a wonderful opportunity to try Native American cuisine in the form of prepared lunch and dinner options, as well as their hot tea bar. In addition, you’ll find a market of Indigenous products and ingredients, and a Spirit Kitchen for Indigenous food entrepreneurs to test products. If you’re inspired by what you see and taste, there’s an education studio that hosts and records Indigenous cooking demonstrations and classes about the culture and foodways.

The holiday season is fast approaching and if you want some unique gifts, be sure to check out the Simply Creative storefront in Northeast Minneapolis. Works by more than 50 local artists are on display and for sale at this attractive artisanal shop. You’ll find things such as handcrafted jewelry, locally made ceramics, fine artisan paintings, drawings, digital art and other artistic Minnesota-based goods. If you’d love to make some of your own personal gifts, there are instructor-led workshops to help you explore painting, lino-cut printmaking, candle making, metal smithing, crocheting and more.

Finally, don’t miss out on The Puttery, which gives miniature golf a whole new look. This immersive experience has specially designed individual courses that send you into new worlds as you practice your short game. To add to the fun, there are three bars, craft cocktails, and food that goes far beyond nachos and hot dogs. This is a place where adults 21+ can let loose and have a fantastic time.

These are just a few of the activities to enjoy this fall, while still staying cozy and comfortable. There are also a wide array of restaurants, wine bars, and more, as well as favorites to return to for a delicious meal. Purchase one of our MN new homes and you’ll be ideally located to get out and enjoy all of the many fun activities, events, restaurants, and more this fall and all year long.
