If you’re looking to move to the Minneapolis area, be sure to choose Key Land Homes as your Minneapolis MN home builder. We build in a variety of enticing communities surrounding the city, and there’s always something going on to enjoy all year long. One such event is the upcoming Stone Arch Bridge Festival.
This art and music festival located on the Minneapolis Riverfront takes place the weekend of June 17-18, 2023. It runs from 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. The festival grounds span the Mississippi riverfront area on W. River Parkway from 11th Ave S to N. 4th Avenue. Designed as a place for artists to come together and show and sell their work to the public, all in a safe environment, there will be artists, chefs, and musicians participating in a wide array of artistic mediums and styles.
The core of the Stone Arch Bridge Festival is the 200+ juried artists. Categories include photography, painting, jewelry, sculpture, woodworking, ceramics, printmaking, glass, and fine crafts. In addition, there are two music stages. The Cities 97.1 Stage is located just north of the Hennepin Ave. Bridge along the Mississippi River, and the Star Tribune Stage is located south of the Stone Arch Bridge next to the food court in the parking lot of Mill Ruins Park. You’ll get to enjoy a variety of live music throughout the weekend.
If you’re inspired by the music and want to do some more dancing, head to the Bailame Dance floor at the corner of Portland Avenue and West River Parkway. Bailame DJs will be spinning sweet beats in Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, East Coast Swing, Hip Hop, and more, and you can take lessons to learn some of the dance moves.
There are also three specialty markets being held during the festival. The Culinary Arts Market will be located under the Hennepin Avenue Bridge. You’ll find a wide range of high quality, locally made food and beverages from almost 40 vendors. There’s also The Black Market on West River Parkway across from Mill City Museum, and the Vintage and Vinyl Market on West River Parkway across from the Guthrie.
There is so much on offer at this festival, with areas for the kids, an art installation being made on site, contests, car shows, and much more, so mark your calendar for this fantastic festival weekend.
