Minneapolis Summer Events

When you purchase one of our MN new homes in the Minneapolis metro area, you’re not only getting a great home; you’re getting a wealth of year-round entertainment. Minneapolis and the surrounding areas always have events going on and summer is certainly no different. If you’re around this month and looking at our new homes, don’t miss some of these summer festivities.

The Minnesota Fringe Festival takes place August 3-13, 2023, in a variety of locations with an even greater variety of exhibitions and performances. Minnesota Fringe gives adventurous artists and adventurous audiences a chance to connect with an array of open, supportive forums that are free and allow both to experience diverse artistic expressions. Minnesota Fringe is billed as an artistic disruptor for local and national artists allowing them to take risks, explore new ideas, and give them a larger audience. The audience benefits as well, with a chance to see something new, unique, and thought provoking. The summer Fringe Festival has been a part of the Midwest art scene for 25 years, showing dozens of works, hundreds of performances, all by more than 1,000 artists. To get kids involved, there’s also the Minnesota Family Fringe with multi-generational productions to appeal to kids and parents, while still exploring new and adventurous ideas.

Another great way to explore the arts is with the Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival. Taking place August 12-13, 2023, in the streets of downtown Minneapolis, this is an opportunity to celebrate the wide array of street art and discover how innovative and creative it can be. Hosted by the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District, the free festival presents a fascinating mix of visual, performing, craft and food arts with the city streets serving as their inspiration and canvas. You’ll see stunning chalk-art installations, numerous live performances, a short film showcase, an outdoor craft market, and plenty of food and drink vendors to keep you well-fuelled throughout the festival.

These are just two of the events taking place this August. There’s always something to enjoy every month, all year long. That alone is enough to get many people interested in one of Key Land Homes’ MN new homes. Contact us today to learn more about our variety of artistic and inviting homes.
