Buying a Home in Minneapolis MN Is More Affordable Now

According to a Realtor(R) report from 2019, house prices have gradually become more affordable in the past year. That’s not to say that buying a house in all markets is easy, but it has become a little easier in roughly 80% of housing markets. In fact, Realtor(R) marked Minneapolis as the fourth most affordable market, meaning there are approximately 46% of homes in Minneapolis MN priced at the median home list price of the area, which is $339,950 in Minneapolis.

Of course, that’s the median house price list and prices do vary from when the list was created in October 2019, but it gives you a sense of where things are going well economically, as the areas where affordability increased generally tied in with places that tend to have strong economies, job markets, as well as a wider selection of homes available for sale.

Still, many people prefer to live outside the major cities, but still want easy access to the cities to enjoy the perks of a larger metropolis. After all Minneapolis is chock full of cultural, food, music, and sporting events, plus so much more. It’s a highly appealing city. Fortunately, if you want to live a little further out in cozier communities, Key Land Homes builds and currently has a number of available homes in communities that are within 20 minutes of Minneapolis. For example, Summerlin, Quarry Ponds, Ryley Ridge Estates are all Key Land Homes communities with homes that are currently move-in ready or coming soon.

Summerlin community in Woodbury has already begun creating a close-knit community perfect for raising families, especially with the award-winning schools. Woodbury’s growth has made it a desirable location in its own right, while still being close to Minneapolis. There is currently a five-bedroom, fived-bathroom, three-car garage home available with a total of 3940 square feet, ensuring plenty of space to live and grow.

Another option is Ryley Ridge Estates in Savage, MN. This city has won numerous awards over the years as an ideal place to live well for less. The Ryley Ridge Estates community offers treed lots, open spaces and easy access to schools, parks, shopping, and the highway. Plus, this is an ideal place for nature lovers with the Minnesota River forming the city’s northern boundary, along with the Savage Fen Wetland Complex, and Boiling Springs, a historical landmark. Within the community, you’ll find a beautiful two-story home with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a three-car garage with a total of 2285 square feet of flexible living space.

Finally, there’s Quarry Ponds, located in Apple Valley, whose motto is to: “Plant”, “Grow” and “Prosper”. Apple Valley is regularly recognized as one of the best places to live by a variety of organizations and even Money Magazine. The schools are nationally recognized, as well, making them a huge part of the city’s draw, not to mention the nationally recognized Minnesota Zoo. Quarry Ponds is a beautiful community within this outstanding city and they have a home coming soon that features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a three-car garage and 3588 square feet. As with all Key Land Homes, you get homes that are built to a high standard and finish, located in ideal communities and cities that are exceptional in their own right, while still also being just a short drive from Minneapolis.

So if you’re looking to take advantage of a positive home market in a region that seems to grow from strength to strength, homes in Minneapolis MN are a great place to start, but don’t forget to look just a little further out to find exceptional, spacious and beautiful homes in communities and cities that offer a wealth of wants and needs to keep you more than satisfied.
